Questions: Art of Elevating Man

 Wow this week was amazing!

Highlights:
-GENERAL CONFRENCE!!! If you do not know what general conference is, it is when the prophet of God along with his apostles speaks to the people of God. It is one of the biggest blessings in my life and this week I have grown a strong testimony of this conference through my testimony. I love a quote from Ezra Taft Benson that says "God’s revelation to Adam did not instruct Noah how to build the ark. Every generation has need of the ancient scripture, plus the current scripture from the living prophet.". We all know that the problems of today are different from the problems of the generation of our parents. Prophets provide our modern day guide for this very day. I also love Matthew 24:37–39 and 43 which says

37 But as the days of aNoah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the aflood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be abroken up.

Just as Noah was constructed to build his ark to be saved from the damnation of his people, we have been told to build our "Arks" to prepare to be saved from the destruction of the second coming. And yes listening to the Bible and Book of Mormon is of great value, but we are always in need of the living words of the living prophet. The revelation of Adam did not construct Noah how to build his Ark. He needed prophetic revelation, just as we need it today. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and he has always shown love through his prophets. He continues to do it today!

-Jorge's family and the family of Rodrigo watched all sessions of general conference not only once but twice! After each session they would watch it all over again. So they just watched conference for like 20 hours! Then after they asked if I could show them past talks! They have built a strong testimony of prophetic council. They all asked to be baptized after the sessions. It was a beautiful miracle. All came from identifying doctrine, invitations to act, and identifying the blessings of the actions in each talk. They took diligent notes in every talk and by the end were easily to identify that through covenants they can receive these blessings. They grew my testimony that day.

-Jorge's Family and Rodrigo's Family suprised me with a Birthday cake and a small party. It was so tender and I absolutely love them!

Had divisions finally with the legendary Elder Dueck. They were well hyped up!

Spiritual thought:

I am going to make this one short, but it is something that has really impacted me!

When you become good at asking questions, you make everyone around you a masterful teacher. I learned this principle from an Elder who truly was gifted in asking questions. He elevated everyone around him and made you feel like 100 bucks. He was an elevator of Men.

I think this applies to all forms of relationships. Questions were the key form of Christs teaching. Because it makes them their own teacher and can help teach you. I also believe we can elevate Christ role in our lives through letting him know our questions. He will become a more personal teacher! Likewise i witnessed this week that we can make conference and the messages from conference more personal through personal and Godly inspired question.

God Loves us and wants to give us answers! These talks below are a few general conference talks that gave me direct answers to my questions and elevated my testimony of Jesus Christ. Love you guys and have a great week!
